Q:
What are your decals made from?
A: Our products are made from high quality self adhesive vinyl
material (the same type used for OEM Original Equipment Manufacturers).
Specialty Vinyls are cut from Polyester, Vinyl, or Metallic PVC depending on
the options chosen for a particular decal. Our Calendered Vinyl decals are resistant
to all forms of normal weather conditions, sunlight and hand car-washing. These
materials are of excellent quality are easy to work with and install. Our decals
can be applied to most smooth, non-porous surfaces. Please note that mud-resistant
plastics used in motorcycles may not present an optimum surface for vinyl adhesion.
Q:
Do your decals all have the small text that read "Best-Decals.com"
through them as the pictures show?
A: No, the small text seen through our larger images that read
"best-decals.com" are called "WATERMARKS" they are there
to protect against picture theft. They do NOT for part of our decals.
Q:
What are the different parts of your decals?
A: Our decals come prepared in three parts:
1) The top layer is the transfer tape and is used to correctly position and
apply the decal.
2) The middle
layer is the decal itself
3) The bottom
layer is the paper release backing.
Q:
I would like to get my decal reverse printed so that I can put it on the inside
surface of a window. Is this possible?
A: First let me clarify: WE DO NOT PRINT OUR DECALS. All our
decals are die-cut from the material.
As for ordering your decal for inside glass, please do so during the order process and not after. When flipped or reverse cutting is available
for a particular decal you will see a selectable option for "NORMAL or
FLIPPED" within the item's information page. Please note, we do not recommend
installing a decal on the inside of your car window.
Our decals were meant to last, and will do so for years installed on the outside
of your window. Humidity, temperature and other forces acting upon a decal installed
on the inside of your window will shorten it's life span severely.
Certain specialty materials will not look as intended when installed on the
inside. i.e. Sequins, Glass Etch, Chrome, Mirror-Gold, etc. are not recommended
for inside glass installation.
Q:
What is your vinyl cut size limit?
A: Due to the fact that we specialize in intricate and delicate
decal designs; our shop is set up to handle sizes from 1x1 inch to 13x40 inches.
If the size exceeds the available material limitations we can panelize
the letters or designs to produce the required height. We have plans to expand
our shop for the handling of much larger sizes.
Q:
What is the shelf life of one of your decals?
A: We guarantee 90 days shelf life under dry and dark conditions. Exposure to humidity, Sunlight or extreme temperature changes will shorten a decal's shelf life to just a few days. Some conditions such as direct Sunlight on a non-installed decal will ruin it. We will only exchange items purchased 90 days ago. If you have been storing a decal for years and find it unusable later, don't expect a refund or free exchange. It's not going to happen.
Q:
How do I remove vinyl lettering that has been on my vehicle for a couple of
years?
A: We recommend warming the vinyl lettering with a heat gun
or hair drier. This loosens the adhesive and typically eases the removal of
the vinyl lettering. There will most likely be adhesive residue; you can remove
this with an adhesive remover. The most common removers are orange peel products
or 3M Adhesive remover found in hardware stores.
